ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System is a system of information that is for the company's manufacturing and services that integrate business processes and automation related aspects of the operation, production and distribution company.

History

ERP evolved from Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II), where the MRP II is the result of evolution from the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), which developed previously. ERP system is usually modular mengangani the manufacturing, logistics, distribution, stock (inventory), shipping, invoices and accounting companies. This means that this system will help control the business activities such as sales, shipping, production, supply management, quality management and human resources.

Characters System

ERP is often referred to as the Back Office System, which suggests that customers and the general public not involved in this system. Contrasting with the Front Office System, which deal directly with customers such as a system for e-Commerce, Costumer Relationship Management (CRM), e-Government and others.
